Israeli Exhibition at HABITAT III

The HABITAT is a United Nations International Conference on Urban Planning. In 2016 the conference was held in Ecuador. The Israeli Pavilion was designed with wooden cubes as a representation of buildings. A video mapping of animated boats in the sea and trees in a park was projected on the city plan . Various films about Israeli innovations and urban culture were projected too.

The presented here video shows the vision of The Ministry of Construction and Housing’s for advanced urban planning. Their goal is to combine residential, commercial, office and public services in the same neighborhood. They hope it will reduce the need for residents to travel far from home. Therefore, the number of vehicles on the roads should be reduced.
