Vidor Center Arava

The Vidor Visitor Center deals with a variety of areas that are unique to the Arava Desert: geology, water, fauna, flora and agriculture. It is located in the Kibbutz Hatzeva.

You can learn there how farmers deal with diverse difficulties involved in growing vegetables in the desert. For example, they use natural pest control with predatory insects, obtain water in the desert and even raise clown fish instead of trapping them in the wild.

The highlight of the center – a sand table with a Kinect camera and sand projection. It allows visitors to create mountains, rain, dig trenches to fill with water and learn about the history of water in the Arava.

I am proud to be responsible for all the projected content at the center from concept to design, animation, and sound.
